I have a question regarding the proper shutdown of the CK-20HST. After say an hour of working the tractor, what is the suggested shutdown of the engine. Idle for five minutes at around 1000 rpms, shut it right off after bringing to an idle, or another method? I've heard some say it is okay to turn it right off and others say to let it idle around 1000 rpms for about five minutes before turning off the key. Or does it even matter?

There is no need to idle for 5 minutes.
After running hard for a period of time I do try to idle for a breif period, maybe 1 minute.
On a turbo charged engine a 3 minute idle period is recommended, but that will not apply to your machine. ....
